Our Story: A Journey of Passion & Purpose

In 2018, my journey into the world of cookware began with a simple passion: helping Ghanaian families cook better. I started by selling a variety of cooking utensils. But something wasn’t right.

With each passing month, my curiosity turned into research about the cookware industry which revealed a shocking truth. Our kitchens were filled with potentially harmful cookware that could leak dangerous chemicals into our food. Some of these convenient nonstick pots weren’t just unsafe for our health – they also fell apart after just a few months of use.

Driven by concern, I began an intense search for safer, more durable alternatives. My mission became clear: to find cookware that could protect Ghanaians health without compromising on quality or performance.

That’s when I discovered cast iron – a game-changing cookware that seemed to solve every problem encountered.

Cast iron isn’t just cookware; it is a legacy. Pots and pans that could last generations, that could be passed down from mother to daughter, from grandmother to grandchild. Cookware that could cook evenly, retain heat perfectly, and most importantly, be completely free from toxic chemicals.

Two of our customers shared their shocking experiences with us. They accidentally left pots on the stove for an average of six hours while at work, only to return and find everything perfectly intact. No fire and no damage to their home. That is when I knew that cast iron was truly a life saver.

In contrast, I had witnessed another cookware’s dangerous potential: aluminium pot left on high heat for just 10 minutes blackened the ceiling and filled the room with smoke. Cast iron tells a different story—a story of unparalleled safety and reliability.

Marie Pots and Pans was born from this realization – a commitment to providing cookware that is not just a kitchen tool, but a health and safety investment.

But we didn’t stop at functionality. We wanted our cookware to be beautiful. Our vibrant colors transform cooking from a chore to an experience. Each pot is a statement piece, making your kitchen the heart of your home.

Today, we’re more than a cookware brand. We’re a movement towards healthier cooking, towards quality that lasts, towards bringing joy and safety to Ghanaian kitchens, one cast iron pot at a time.
